    Driving test in Ohio
All right, first of all I'd like to say sorry if I didn't put this in the right category... I looked through all of them and had no idea where to put this. :|
I'm wondering what they actually do on the Ohio driving test, preferably from someone who's done it in the past couple of years.
My main worry is parallel parking... right now I suck at it, and if they do test on it I want to make sure I practice with it.
    Gratzi. :)

As far as I know (I live in Ohio) they do test for parallel parking so you'd better practice a lot. I can't parallel park either. I moved to Florida where they don't have much parallel parking to worry about - but they did have it on their driving test. Just take your time backing up. Your best bet would be to actually go to one of the testing stations and stand there or sit in your car and watch what the testing person from the station makes the other folks do. This way you'll know one way or the other. Just sit and watch and you'll know exactly what you're in for when it's your turn.

Everybody has difficulty with parallel parking. You can buy cars that park themselves. <G>.

Parallel parking gets more interesting in a big city such as Philadelphia where people are honking at you at the same time.

I76 there is still frightning at times. Sometimes I'll go out of my way to take another entrance ramp.

Ah - I hadn't thought about observing what they do, twinkie.
I have another question, and I'm not sure if I should have made another thread or not.
My mom is planning on us moving to California, so I'm worried about what's going to happen with my license deal.
I just got my permit, and I've driven about 5 hours already.
Question is, if I move to California, will I have to go and exam for a Californian permit? And will moving there affect the age/time at which I am eligible to get my license? I'm wondering if I'll have to wait until I'm 18 or not.

The driver's permit you get in Ohio is only good in Ohio. If you get a full driver's license after passing the test then you can just change your Ohio license for one in California.

If you just move to California without finishing your Ohio permit/testing you will have to start everything all over again in California!

Best to get everything completed in Ohio before the move. At least that's what I'd do.

You know I have looked and for the life of me can't decide where this should be posted so I left it, another mod can move it if they have a better thought

But yes parking is on the test, so you need to learn to do it

So, even if I'm like.. 15, and ~2 months away from being 16, I can still get my Californian permit?

If you don't finish Ohio, you will have to meet the California requirements
