    Help with sysprep.
I have done a few images in the past, but never across separate hardware. I am imaging from one machine to another. Each are the same "Hardware" but separate computers. I have imaged the machine a couple of times and each time it fails after a certain amount of usage. I am guessing that even though they have the same specs, things like the hardware ID and other information are causing problems.

I recently learned of sysprep. It is my understanding that it will allow you to reset the part of the windows installation where the OS configures the hardware.

My question is a little different. Exactly what options within sysprep should I use to achieve this, and secondly, will it affect the configuration of the source computer, if so how much?

    Thanks in advance...

Oh, they are Dell machines, if that makes a difference. I think they are the of the Optiplex series.
