I have side by side GE profile refrigerator that it makes the freezer floor to be glacier for the last 3 months. There is no leak that I have noticed in the freezer. I have defrosted and cleaned up the freezer without any success. It takes one day to start accumulating glacier in the freezer floor, after it has been defrosted. It accumulates ice until the freezer door can't close properly. Please help... :mad:

It sounds like the evaporator drain pan is clogged, and the condensate is running out into the box and freezing. Thaw the ice and locate the drain tube, it should lead somewhere near the compressor where the a condensing line or a small heating element sits in a pan to evaporate the condensate. Verify the tube isn't clogged.

Check the door seal, moisture in the air can condense and freeze.

This is another ge design flaw. The water in the auto defrost drip reservoir is freezing. Added water then leaks onto the freezer floor and then, in my case, onto the floor. The only solution is replace the dish towel once a day. Defrosting is a very temporary fix.

We had this problem and the cause was a burned out heater rod. We had to remove the panel at the rear(inside) of the freezer and there are 3 heater rods . One was not working but is advisable to replace all three. It was an easy fix once we knew what the problem was.

Many side by side refrigerators made by GE were recalled due to a class action lawsuit. The door to freezer was not sealed with GE Silicone between plastic liner and steel door. Remove door and take apart then allow to dry in sun. Re-assemble and seal all surfaces with GE Silicone and the air leak will be cured.
