    Any Professionals Out There...
That have an opinion on the Honeywell F100 vs F300 Whole Home Media Air Cleaners ? I'm wondering if there's a noticeable difference between the F100 and the electronic F300 ? Should I spend the extra $ 400 since I'm putting in a new system?

    Thanks,

They are compared here: Hepa Honeywell | Furnace Filters | Indoor Air Quality | Honeywell filters | Electronic Air Cleaner | Home Air Cleaners

Biggest difference is the particle size eliminated.

You do have to look at what do I need and if there are smokers in the house:

    1) Particle size - allergens. HEPA filters help capture the smaller particles.

    2) Electronic filters aid in the capture. May help with viruses and mold.

    3) UV lights - Must be replaced yearly. Great for mold. Can be in multiple locations. Great when humidifiers are used a lot.

    4) Activated carbon eliminate odors.

One guy here showed us a pic of a furnace sized aair cleaner that he had in his house. Quite impressive.

    KISS,

Thanks for your response and Advice. I think I'm going with the F100. It's better than the 1 inch I currently have and looks like it will take up to a MERV 16 filter which should be good enough. No smokers here. Although my son does have allergies, but not sure that it would really make that much of a difference?
