I'd like to be able to mow in reverse without holding the button in to keep it from shutting down

I am not allowed to answer that question directly because I am a certified technician!
Let me put it this way; it only has a white and a black wire. You only have two choices as to what works; unplug them and leave them separated or tape them together for contact.
I know which works;, but you only have two ways to try to see which works for you!
