I have a 2 ton coil ready to replace a 3 ton coil, will it work or not, and what are the explanations why? Thank you , I am trying to save money, since my dad had this 2 ton coil already and in great shape.

It might work for a while but not very efficiant,, the worse thing would be that the pressure the 3 ton unit puts out is that the coil could blow up ,or cause the compressor to lock up or go bad,, meaning, well you can figure that part out,, mucho money down the drain
