Remove dishwasher but not install new one
I have to remove my dishwasher and it is attached to a disposal. How can I plug the hole from the DW connection so it doesn't leak and I can use my sink till the new DW arrives.

    There are several ways.
    1) You can cut the washer hose off the disposal a foot or so and then kink it back and tie it off. **OR**
    2) you could remove the hose and hose clamp a neoprene cap over the outlet.
As for the water, it will depend on how it's fed. If it has a stop you can simply turn it off and ifit's teed off the hot supply then crimp the copper and solder it shut.
    Good luck, Tom

I have one week between removal and the new installation of the dishwasher. I really don't want to crimp the copper. Is there another way? I think there is a water valve to the DW but not sure about that.

Connection of supply to dishwasher should be a compression fit. If you have no stop valve for the dishwasher supply under the sink, get a compression fit stop valve and put on end of supply tube. Be better to cut dishwasher supply line under sink and put in compression fit stop valve.

If you have an air gap on sink you should not get any water out the dishwasher drain hose. If you do not have air gap, remove dishwasher drain hose from disposal, put a couple layers of plastic over stub out, slide hose back on and clamp.

Thanks for the info, both of you. I hope it works! Don't want a flood! :)

Did you check both ends of that hot water supply line, should be a shut off at one end. Easiest fix is Tom's crimping a foot of drain hose and hold inplace with a hose clamp.
