An ex-business partner (and I use that term very loosely, as a business credit card in my and the business name is as far as our partnership went!) has filed for bankruptcy (both personal and business) and listed me as a creditor, as I opened the business line of credit, as the personal guarantor, with her and her husband as authorized users, after making my believe she would pay off whatever debt the card incured. She maxed out the card with frivilous charges of going out to eat, shopping trips to grocery stores and clothing stores and even put her childrens' school tuition on this card. She has been making the minimum payment on the card since November 2007 but stopped in March of this year after filing the bankruptcy. Is there anything I can do to make it so she has to continue to pay this card... all the charges were made on the "users" credit cards, not the account holder - that's where the payments show up! Sadly, I was unaware of the amount of debt accrued on the card, as she had the bill coming to her business address (her home). If there is nothing that can be done, I will, in turn, need to file for bankruptcy, as I do not have $60K to pay off this card.
