I worked for a Dollar General and I just recently confessed in taking merchandise from my job without paying for it. It added up t0 $55.53 dollars worth. I wrote a statement stating what I had took and how long it had been going on. It was from dec- march. But I also put down that my manager on duty told me it was OK to get it or she wiuldnt ring it up for me when I offered to pay. I was fired and they gave my statement over to the DA. I then sent a money order of the amout to Dollar General loss prevention. What happens now? WHat could happen to me? I've never been in trouble ever and I'm only 19.

What could happen to me if I confessed in taking $55.00 worth of merchandise from my job at dollar general? I wrote a statement and I was fired. They turned it over to the DA. What could happen to me?

You could be arrested for theft - what happens after that depends on your past record, the law in your State, how hard Dollar General wants to press the issue.

I see a fine and probation and a criminal record.
