    Heating furnace works when "on" but doen't start on auto
    I just changed the thermostat on my furnace. When I switch to auto - cool, the A/C is working fine. But, when I switch to auto - heat, the heater doesn't come on.

    I also tried to see if the furnace is coming on when the blower is on. When the switch is "On" the heater and A/C are working fine based upon the thermostat temperature set up. Looks like the connecting wires need to be changed. Hate to experiment without any clue.

    Did you put a jumper from rh to rc??

    I have connected the 4 wires according to color coding.

    Does the new stat have a rh and a rc?
