    Straight hair
My hair is very frizzy and curly and thick. I straigten it but its hard sometimes when I'm running late in the mornings. I've looked into the japenese straightening thing that spas do, but I just can't afford that kind of treatment.

If I straighten my hair every day for long enough and leave it that way all the time, will it eventually stay that way?

Hi jenniepepsi, no I don't think that straightening your hair every day will eventually make it that way. Your hair is that way from genetics, so nothing is going to change that unless it is a permanent change, and even then, will only last until your hair grows out.

Hi Jennie, I have the same problem, well used to have the same problem, until I stopped fighting the curls. Don't you get complements from the curly hair? I had people ask me why I would straighten it. What I found to work the best was towel drying my hair when I got out of the shower and putting any kind of mousse in my hair that was for curly hair and scrunching it. Then I would do my makeup and get ready for work, just so I could let it air dry a bit and then I would blow dry it on low just for a few minutes, not so that it was completely dry. It wasn't frizzy at all after I started doing that.

Lol no I don't get compliments zoe. It is so frizzy and terrible and oily and out of control it just looks dirty and unbrushed all the time unless I straighten it.

Actually zoe had a good point, but it's a lot of work to straighten it and blow dry at the same time. Have you thought of having your hair thinned ? That could actually work in your favour, jenniepepsi, or start wearing an attractive short hair cut.

I've thought about a short cut again recently. But every time I do cut it short, I miss my long hair. When I straighten it, its so pretty and soft. Its just when its not straightend that its really course oily and frizzy.
I probably will end up cutting it. We live in Arizona, so it works out good anyway :P

It might not be as frizzy though if you give it a rest from all the heat damage. The transition period won't be very fun, but if you just let it be for a while I think you'd be surprised. I was.
