I have severe cramps heavy bleeding & back pain while on my period. I also experiece a lot of pressure down there and on my anus. It is very painful and I go through my pads quickly because of my heavy bleeding. I also can't wear tampons because of the pain and I don't know if I should see a doc or what. I have had 2 natural child births and had pain and trouble ever since with my period.

See a doctor and ask for a referral to a gynecologist. Cramps generally should get better after childbirth, not worse.

From what I understand, its common for cycles to change after child birth (but that doesn't necessariliy mean they will get better)

From what you are describing, its pretty severe. I think you should be evaluated by a doc to see if they can help ease your discomfort.

I was never the same after my second child and after suffering with what you are describing went to my GYN. He put me on the Nuvaring (even though I have a tubal ligation). It is one of the lowest hormone BCs and it helped tremendously with my periods.

You can use it continuously and not have a period at all or go the 21 days on, 7 off like regular BC.
