I am having a property line dispute with a neighbor. I can not find my deed, I know how to go about getting a new deed, but my question is: My neighbor (in one of our disputes) said he has a copy of my deed, can he too go to the court house and get a copy of my deed? Or is this just another one of his lies that got us in this mess in the first place?

Deeds are public records and should be on file with the county. Anyone can go there and get a copy.
