Statute of limitations for judgments in Texas
What if there is a judgment entered but the defendant never got a copy of it? The answer was filed in a timely manner by the defendant. How would the defendant go about making the judgment void for failure to notify? The defendant was never notified of any of the hearings, etc. as the defendant was out of the country (Iraq) for work. The defendant is a civilian contractor working for the State Dept.

The defendant needs to find out how service was obtained - some states allow publication in a newspaper as sufficient notification, others allow family members/tenants/roommates to accept service on the defendant's behalf.

How long ago was the hearing? How long ago was the judgment entered?
