    Quickjohn
I have a quickjohn in by basement.
I have a plywood floor w/carpet on top of the quickjohn.
The floor was wet. I removed the toilet and put a net wax ring w/flange.
The floor got wet again. The toilet is not leaking.
Can the quickjohn get backed up before the sewage reaches the pump?
    The pump does work

By" quick john" are you referring to a sewerage ejector system?
Please explain, in detail, exactly what you have and your complaint with it. Are there other fixtures involved besides this quick john?
What's the brand name of the quick john? Give me something I can work with here. Regards, Tom

Tom, I did not think a Saniflow had a wax ring, what do you make of this? I see you are reading this post with me.

    Bob,
I'm still trying to find out what's down there. Is quick john another name fofr a Saniflow installation? Since we don't have basements in my area All I know about them is what I've read. Cheers, Tom

Think this is it and it does look like there is a wax ring Liberty LowPro Quick Jon Toilet Basin Wastewater & Sewage Removal System # LowPro41LP (D) You install a regular toilet on it rather than buying a complete Saniflow unit

It's a LowPro 41LP Quick Jon Sewage remaval system, and you do install a regular toilet on it with a wax ring. Before I take off the back lid for access, I thought someone familial with this unit could tell me if they had any experience with a clog inside the base

That is the unit. Before I remove the back base cover, I wanted to see if someone familial with it had any experience with a clog inside the unit base

Looks like a typical grinder pump to me,(see image).

Remove the back cover. If the pumps working, as you say, then look for a clog in the intake( suction line to the pump. If that's clear I would turn my attention to the discharge line. Is it clogged? Is the check valve operating correctly? Check it out and let us know. M Good luck. Tom

I checked it out, and everything looked fine. Put it back together, seems to be working for now. Thanks for your help.
