Does Eating the Crust of a Pizza Count as Eating a Bread Concerning Nutrition?
    Hi, All!

Well, does it? I would think that eating at least the larger, rear end of it would count as some sort of bread.

    Thanks!

I believe it does. Depending on how it is made. My mom, always used home made bread recipes to make the dough for the pizza. Extra rising and extra thick crust.

Pizza is basically bread with a couple of toppings. Nutritionally, it's the same as a big sandwich. The crust definitely counts as bread.

I believe that what the crust is called is a "quick bread".

    Thanks!
