I filed bankruptcy in Texas several months ago. I did not own a vehicle. My father now wants to transfer ownership of his truck to me as a gift. Can this be done without any problems due to my recent bankruptcy?

As long as "if there is some challege" you and your father can prove that he bought the truck and that it was not your truck that he was hiding for you.
Thanks a lot. No he purchased and paid for the truck himself. The title has always been in his name. I never put a penny into it and he truly wants to gift it to me so I have transportation.
Yes, of course there is a 99.999 percent chance no person who did not get paid will even follow up with what you are doing, I have only seen them do that in cases where there was some really heated investigation of money being hidden.
So they will never even know, and as long as it has been finally discharged there is no requirement to notify them of income changes or "gifts"
