:eek: I found a cat and took her home. How do you tell if she has already had kittens or if she is pregnant? She's very mal-nurished but she has large nipples hanging.

She should be examined by a vet. She probably had some kittens, as to weather they lived is anouther story. Sad but true fact of a stray cats life, if they are stray they are prone to starvation and pregnancy and they don't mix. Have her examined and tested for viral disease. If you have other cats, DO NOT under ANY circumstances allow them contact antil she has been tested. And last have her spayed. Its best for her and it ensures her a healthier life provided she is currently disease free.

If she is thin with swollen nipples she probabaly has had kittens recently. Have her checked by a vet soon. If she's already had kittens she may take you to them if you've earned her trust.
