Ruddish or Red Facial Complexion. Any Ways to Help Make It Less Red?
    Hi, All!

I have a very ruddish facial complexion. If you have that sort of thing, or know someone who has it, are there any products that you or they've used to successfully make it less red other than using make-up, please?

    Thanks!

I don't know anyone with this problem but there are products that are made to calm the skin down and reduce redness.

Have you seen a dermatologist or officially been diagnosed with
Anything else? You think you might have Rosea?

    Hi, nikkicute!

No, I've not been to a dermatologist. Plus, no doctor that I've ever been to has ever said anything about it.

However, it has been suggested by friends that I might have Rosacea. There are also no blood vessels visible, except sometimes on my nose.

    Thanks!

See if one of those products work for your skin.
I wonder what causes some people's face to be so red, like ex pres Clinton? His face always looked like he was blushing.

From Rosacea.org: The National Rosacea Society --

"Among the most famous rosacea sufferers is former President Bill Clinton, whose doctors disclosed that he has this condition in The New York Times. Others reported to have suffered from the disorder include Princess Diana, financier J.P. Morgan and the Dutch painter Rembrandt."

    Really? It hurt? That's awful:(
Does anything ever trigger it like if you eat something spicy or it just get's red and hurts on its own?
You have to go see a dermatologist your skin shouldn't be hurting you!

Yes, it hurts, right now! Even though I'm fairly relaxed, (although, I'm obviously on a "tear" with asking questions!)

I will check out the products as well as see about visiting a dermatologist.

    Thanks!

I have horrible skin problems! And it actually just happened with in this past week.

Take it from me that tried various creams and soaps, just go to a Esthetician (facials). They try and heal everything naturally instead of pumping antibiotics into your body. I think healing naturally for a lot of cases is a lot more helpful then taking medicine.

I was using the exfoliating creams for awile that dry on your skin. That was a number of years ago... I had forgotten about them. Maybe I should go back to using them.

You might like an aloe vera cream similar to the one I used when I was getting radiation treatments -- Hydroderm (prescription) -- plus stay out of the sun and avoid stress.

Would regular Aloe vera fluid from the plant itself be okay to use?

Try it to see if it will alleviate pain and reduce redness. I always had a plant on my kitchen window sill for emergency treatment of burns.

I had a very large and beautiful one! But, I done killed it by leaving it out in the cold too long! :(

Guess I'll need to get another one!

That's smart of you to keep them around for burns, Wondergirl! :)

Topical treatment is fine, but the emotional care is even more effective. My husband has had this condition for a number of years. Stress is his worst enemy.
