I have a car that I paid for. My ex girlfriends name is on the title. I want to sell the car but she will not co operate with me and sign off the title so I can sell it. How can I go about selling the car even if she is being difficult about signing off on it.

How are they names titled ? Depending on how they were written it may only take one name, but it could take both, you need to check with the DMV on that.

You will of course have to agree to pay her for her 1/2 of the car or some figure, since the car is 1/2 hers with her name on the title. Have you offered to pay her for signing

Is her name solely on the title or on the title with you? If both, it would depend on how the title is worded and the laws of your state as to whether both signatures are required. If her name is solely on the title, you can't do anything with it, it is her car.
