Spilled over 5 gallons gas on dirt in back yard. Tried cat littler and water. But the gas smell is strong. What should I do?

No just on the side of house and no gate door. So goes no wear.just I was thinking the smell will never go away

The smell will eventually go away. It will just take some time.

You might want to try water mixed with a lot of laundry or even dish detergent to try to disperse it.

Could you have burned it off?

Or dig up the dirt into a wheelbarrow and burn it off in a safe location.
