    97 honda civic check engine light
    I have a 97 honda civic dx at first I noticed the radiator fan was not working when the temp gauge was overheating. I have tested the fan with negative and pos wire directly to battery and it works. Checked the relays under the hood, checked fuses and they are good, even changed coolant, temp sensor, and the sensor directly by the thermostat housing, and changed thermostat and gasket too. After replacing every thing when I turned ignition to on the fan worked for a minute and condenser fan worked too. After a day it was working fine than all of a sudden started overheating again and now check engine light is on and fan no longer spinning. What's going on? Anyone with any suggestions

    Check for codes. You may need to replace the radiator, due to phosphate scale blocking passages. These links may help:
