    Hi,
Your model number does not make sense. The 6 and hyphen means that it is a 1976 model, unless that space means you are missing a digit. In which case it would be a 1986 model with a 38" deck, which might make more sense.
The first two digits after the hyphen are the deck size and there is no 83" deck.

No, the model number is correct, it's an 8hp, 30' deck, was just thinking I could find a good source for parts, belts, etc. thanks for your attentiveness to my issue.

    Hi,
Does this one have you sitting very high and utilize a drive disc? I ask because I do not remember the model # for the original from the 1960's. I have no idea where to find a breakdown either. Used to work as a service manager for a dealer that had them.
