Does IRS review his/her visa status (F-1, E-2 etc), and arrival departure date in their or the INS system when they process tax return?

My friend submitted 1040NR this year and she entered wrong visa information that expired years ago on the page5 of her return. Does IRS check to find out if it's wrong or they do not care if the earnings(w-2 etc.)/ refund data is correct?

With nonresident tax return, you also file Form 8843.
If IRS has a question, they will contact you.
