    Password protected/private profile on XP?
I posted in the wrong section the first time, sorry..

I have windows XP Pro and even though antivirus can't find any issues I am unable to log into any of the accounts, as soon as I click on any of 5 user names it starts to log in but then logs off and main screen, where you chose which account you want to log in appears

Main problem is that one of the accounts is password protected, files are private, and I need documents from that account.

I installed windows xp on new partition but when I go to c:\documents and settings\ that one account cannot be accessed, all other can.

How can I fix this so I can get files from that account?

    Thanks

Get your hands on a live CD. Knoppix (705MB is my favorite. It will let you access the hard drive without windows read/write permissions, you can relocate files, or whatever you want basically.

You can download the link. Burn the image to a cd, and then pop it in the drive, and boot from it. I would suggest you get a quick few lessons in linux, or have a computer savvy friend give you a hand.

Have you tried going in under "safe mode" and checking it that way?
