When I purchased the car the salesman gave me 30day tags he told me that I had to come in and pay my tax and tags before the 30day tags expire. I told him that I would they repoed my car and I still have over a week to come in and pay the tax and tags do they have the right to do that?

I suspect you didn't read the contract. I also suspect that you don't have what the salesman said in writing.

You need to read what you signed.

However, if, in fact, you were given 30 days, then no they didn't have the right to repo.
