I have Hampton ceiling fan with round fluorescent light. Light stays on and I can not turn it off. Even it doesn't operate the fan either. Remote light indicator shows light when push any button on remote. Basically remote is not functioning at all. If any one has any idea please let me know... Thank you,

How long ago did the remote fail, did it fail for both light and fan? Open there battery compartment, do you see many very small switches?

Check the dip switches and make sure they match the fan. Try a different setting (matching) on both. If this doesn't solve the problem, you will need to replace the receiver. See:
