French citizenship for US minor, is it possible? Parents are not French.
My question is can my stepson get French citizenship? I am an Englishman living in France with my New York born and bred wife. Her 5 year old son from a previous marriage is in her custody and attends school here in France. He was born in New York and so holds a US passport. My wife has dual nationality US and British, as her father was English. So none of us are French, but does this matter. Is it just a matter of living here for five years and then applying?

I think that to apply for a french citizenship (if neither of your parents are actually french) you have to be at least 18 years of age and have to live there for 5 years. I might be wrong but that's what it's like in MOST countries.
