I want to know what are the predators to the opossum. And how do they defend themselves from their predators.:eek:

Searching here, I find Coyotes, Dogs, Bobcats, Hawks, Owls, Foxes, and Humans named in most of them.

And don't forget automobiles. They're not the most traffic savvy animals.
They generally defend themselves by pretending to be dead, hence the term, "playing possum." They roll over, let their toungue hang out, and excrete a foul smelling green substance from their anal glands.
