Light brown hot water causing skin irritations
Hi, hoping someone can help. Brown water coming from all taps in house. We have an ACV water system. Problem has been going on for at least two years. Just had cylinder (not sure if this is correct terminology)and pump replaced but just seems to be worse. Both my daughter and I get a skin rash after showering and I have to bathe a four year old in this. Our plumber does not seem to be able to fix it. What do we do now. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated

Yes, if your present plumber can't find the problem, then get another plumber to come in. Why would you put up with this for two years and spend money on a solution that doesn't work. I know you are coming here to answers, but we don't know your water, land conditions, or where you live to advise you.

Hi, we have tried numerous plumbers, nobody seems to be familiar with the ACV system. It was new to the market 14 years ago when it was installed on the advice of our architect but did not really gain any popularity here (Ireland). I have had the soil tested, no issues. The water supplied to the house is mains water, also tested again no issues.
The cylinder is a dual system, one chamber houses water for the radiators other for showers etc. The manufacturers suggested the divider between the two may have been compromised and the waters are mixing. Therefore we changed the cylinder.

Ask manufacturer if they have someone on staff that can come and check out system.

If not, ask if they can recommend a plumber that is familiar with the system.

    Good luck

I'm not familiar with your system but it's my guess the ":brown water's" iron oxide ,(rust) and the system needs ton be flushed..
That's what when do over here when rust gets in the system.
    Good luck, Tom
