    Alaikum Salam, Urwa.

Yes and no. Some men of the Islam faith think as you have described, but others do not.

I think the more important question would be: Did you and your husband talk about this sort of issue a long time ago? Did you not know that he might be, or is, the way that he is?

If you knew it in advance, then you should honor his wishes. If he has changed, then stand your ground and do as you wish.

I hope I have not sounded rude. I am not meaning to at all. I am only speaking of what I know from experience and knowledge of your faith.

    Thanks for your quick response.
But I want to know more about it.
My husband is very good but he say that I have to take permission every time I want to go out.
For example should I ask every time for his permission when I go to qura'an class every week??
Or taking permission once will do the work!!
    Kind regards!

One must let her husband know what she does and should respect his wishes. But I don't think it's necessary to take permission every time what she does as it has been mentioned above. Once is enough. In some cases he doesn't have any right to prevent her wife from doing certain things.. for example- if she wants to go to a quraan class every week or wants to pray five times in the mosque.

    Wa alikum salaam Urwa,

A wife can work outside as per Islamic regulations that she adheres to the guidelines.
If the couple had already discussed and decided what to do about her working and he has already given permission, then wallahi aulum, then there is no need to get permission each time.
Also the husband should consider being merciful to the wife and if she finds it difficult to do such unnecessary things as asking permission everyday, which she has already gotten his permission for,he must help her ease her hardships.

I do think it is between the couple to decide ,for example, if I were going out,my husband would know, not because he would say yes or no,but it has become part of our lives to let each other know when we are going out.It is like saying "bye" as I am leaving.
If I was going out, especially other than normal routine, then I would definitely let him know.

Regarding going to mosque five times a day, this is actually not a requirement for women, alhamdlillah, as it is rather hard on us to do this everyday. As many of the women take care of the household whether working or not .
Especially harder with children around, whom we could have with us while praying at home as they will be in their familiar space and would stay calmer than taking them to the mosque and trying to pray there.
