    Co-applicant on apartment
My boyfriend of 3 years is about to move into an apartment and I am moving in with him - the apartment complex we're wanting to rent from has everyone who is 18 and older fill out the "co-applicant" section of the application. He is the one with a job and paying for rent and electric (the rest is covered in the rent) - but because I am still in school for my BSN (he just graduated in December) I only work part-time but it is enough to cover all of my own bills. My question is that the application has me put down my monthly income (which isn't much, a little more than half the rent amount) and they check my credit (which there's no reason that it'd be "bad" but just that I'm 21 and haven't really established any credit since I've been living at home) - will my information be much of an impact on whether they approve us for the apartment? He is the "main" applicant and he has previously rented before (when he was 18 and it was in a different state, so no record because he called and they did not have that far back) but has paid off a car loan and his credit is good - also, his monthly pay is more than 3X the rent.

    Hello lady:

Probably not. But there's no telling what criteria management companies have.
