Is there anything that goes between the tub itself and the cement floor?

What is the tub made of, cast iron or acrylic? Cast iron is fine with nothing under it but fiber glass and acrylic need a bed. Use Thinset or Structolite, some guys even use plaster.

What type tub are you asking about? Cast iron? Steel? Or plastic/fiberglass? Let me know, Tom
