I am a scolar on an J1 and in the US since 2007. Last years I always got an W2 form and filed the 1040NR-EZ. This year I got a 1099-Misc only with ~17.000$ under box3 other income. What kind of form do I have to file 1040 - do I have to file the C section of a 1040? I think I do not have to pay the self emplyed tax or?
