    Smell in bathroom
My home is 8 years old and when I came home yesterday my guest bath smelled like the toilet had not been flushed. Of course it was. I have no drainage issues. I do not use the shower that often in that bathroom mainly to bathe my 2 long haired Shih Tzus and that was last done 3 weeks ago. I cleaned out the drain myself with one of the buy on TV drain cleaners about a month ago just bcse we could see the large amount of dog hair in the drain. Also about a week ago I had suds in both toilets in my home for no apparent reason. First in one bathroom and about 4 hours later in the other bathroom. Is the smell due to the shower hair and gunk that could be trapped in there or is it possibly the Toilet seal could have broken or the vent pipe on the roof could be blockd?

Suds in the toilet lead me to think your vent could be blocked. Fill your tub and then drain it, does the toilet bubble?

I will fill my tub and drain it tonight when I get home and see if that works and post later on.

Smell is gone. No bubbles. Thinking it may have been dry from non use and letting the gasses in... Thanks for the help!
