I have a Bolens Husky Hydrostatic tractor with a kohler k482 engine. I have 12v to the coil but no spark, I suspect the coil or condenser is bad but am not sure how to check them. Can anyone help.

Testing that voltage to the coild SLOWLY turn the engine over... you should se an interuption of the power at some point.
Points may be stuck together if you don't see the power gop away at a point in the revolution of the engine... what the condenser does is minimize the arc-over that burns the points when they make and break the connection that feeds power to the coil.
THe collapse of the magnetic field when the power drops induces the high voltage spike that the spark plugs use..
