    Paternity Testing while in jail
My son, now 20 years old my not be my child. I want to have a test now because I am getting older and want to get a life insurance policy and name him as beneficiary. He does not carry my last name and his mother refused to have a test in the past. He is now twenty years old and I am in jail. Can I have the test done while in jail.

How long will you be in jail? If not for long it would be easier to wait because it won't be a court ordered DNA test I'm not sure that it will be done. Do you have a lawyer? If so call him/her up and ask them if they can help you push for one. Otherwise if you have treated your son like your son for this long does it really matter if biologically he is yours?
