I have a hard bump behind my left ear that feels like bone. I don't have it behind my right ear. It's really sore if I touch it.. what could this be?

Have you actually seen the bump? I don't want to gross you out or anything but behind the ear is one of the favorite places for ticks to latch on to people.
Have someone look at it for you if you haven't looked at it yourself. Other than that, I don't know.

It could be a sebaceous cyst. That is nothing more than an oil collection below the skin surface, and yes, they harden.
Since it is sore you should have it checked out by your doctor.
Step 1: wash your hands and take out your earrings
Step 2: get a cotton ball and put some peroxide on it
Step 3: turn your ear over so that you can see the bump
Step 4: rub te peroxide on the bump (I you see the bump is bubbling and that means its getting the infection out)
Step 5: rub on both sides of ear and on both ears just to be safe
Step 6: make sure you do this at least 2 times a day
Step 7: keep your earrings out until the bump goes away
GOOD LUCK!
