Hi Ask Me Help Desk, Ok well I'm not the type of person that really likes to date cause every boy I've dated was immature. But yesterday I went to a cookout and I met this boy that I really liked and I'm a very shy and nevous person but there was something special about him. I knew he liked me. And we would always look at each other. I really wanted to tell him how I felt about him but my nerves got the best of me. Then when he had to go he was waiting by the door wanting to tell me something but it was too

Late and before I knew it he was gone. I wish I could have gotten his number. And I really regret everything. It was like we were meant to be together. I know we will meet again but it want be soon though. I'm really depress now but what could all this really mean?

It probably doesn't mean much of anything. (I feel like I'm reading Twilight.) You think you'll see him again? Plan your "attack" for then.

Lol! Yeah I guess. I just get really nevous around guys. And I have a low self esteem. But when I do see him again I will tell him how I feel.

Um, don't tell him how you feel. Instead, make friends with him. Ask him questions so he will talk about things like his favorite foods, his most hated foods (I'm guessing peas), if he has any pets. Don't make it a Twenty Questions thing, but ask a leading question, let him answer, LISTEN to his answer, and ask questions about things he said.

"What's your most hated food?"

"Peas!"

"Hmmm, what is it about peas that you hate? the color? the feel of them in your mouth when you smash them with your teeth and tongue? their size?"

"Yuk! Their smell!"

"I know just what you mean! Any other foods you hate?"

Conversation and getting to know each other are what is important right now.

Great Advise! Thank You! Im just getting back into this type of stuff so I'm a little rusty. But when I see him again I will follow your advise and start a conversation with him and try to get to know him. Im a really nervous person but I know I can do it.

I think Wondergirl gave you some great advice!

Start with something small, make conversation, and see how it goes from there. You never know he may turn out to be a total creep, or just a great friend!
