    Fear of Failure
How do you help one overcome their fear of failure and regection? Its to the point were the person doesn't try because if they don't try than they cannot fail (this is the subconcousis thought).

What techniques can you sugggest to help one over come this?

    Thanks

Or is it more that if he tries and succeeds, he'll have to keep trying (and he doesn't want to work that hard)?

Everybody worries about failing, but some people are literally crippled at the thought of it. There are some basics that could help.

Remember to expect that you will sometimes fail. When you do fail, accept it. Turn the failure into a positive by figuring out where you went wrong, then apply what you learned to your next venture.

Don't take failure personally. Just pick yourself up and dust yourself off after you have fallen down.

Realize that even successful people fail, and have likely failed many many times before there were able to get where they are.

If you fail, make it a point to keep going and try again. Don't let failure stop you.

Fear of failure in itself is a desire for success. You fear because you desire. It is as simple as that. To overcome it is to go through it. Do the things you fear and fail in it and observe the feeling of the fear and the failure. The crucial point here is observe and don't think!

Search up these personalities. Mooji & Eckhart tolle. They speak of spirituality, but don't worry about that. Their teachings address the truth behind all fears and how to overcome them without actually overcoming them ;)
