Murray Sentinel 125ic/96 won't start when turning key
    Hi,
I've been working on getting my lawnmower working.
It won't start when turning the key :(
I have replaced the solenoid, starter and battery - no go!
I tried to jump all safety switches - no go!
I replaced the ignitionswitch - no go!

I have 12,6 V on the battery side of solenoid, nothing on the other side even with key in "start" position.
    My Ground is good.
I have 4 wires to solenoid: 2 thick red (1 from battery and 1 to starter), 1 thin red (connects on batteryside, right?) and 1 thin yellow that connects on maleconnector on solenoid.
    This is all fine, right?

I can start the engine both with all safetyswitches jumped and not, when I jump the solenoid. I can also start it direcly from battery to starter.

Any help would really be appreciated! :):confused:

There must be a wire broke somewere on the safety system.
Test light key on check both side of every switch this will find the one.

Hmmm... I'm not sure about that ;)
I can't start the mower without engaging the safety switches and I also tried to jump them and then it starts fine.
It's like I don't get any response when turning the key, not even a clcik from the solenoid or anything :(

I now measured on the switches

12,6 v under seat on both terminals
12,6 v on black wires on clutchswitch nothing on yellow
12,6 v on black wires on deckswitch nothing on yellow

Is this where the problem is?
The yellows runs to solenoid, shouldn't there be 12 v on this when attempting to start?

Only if it s coming out of the key switch.
One time you said it didn't help jumping the switches and another time you said it did.
So which one is it,yes or no.

    Hi,
Look under the seat for the model. I will post the wiring diagram and can tell you how to proceed through it.
    Peace,
    Clarke
