Her mother sleeps with men for money, I think her husband makes her, and when the little girl gets old enough they try to sell her too. They give her a red dress. Before she was old enough she would run into the woods to an african american family who befriended her. I remember they gave her her very own apron at one time. And at the end she escapes with a boy who she has fallen in love with. They met when she had to go into the bar wearing the red dress and a man tried to touch her. The boy defended her. I don't remember who plays in it or what the name of it could possibly be but I would really like to find out.
