What is the statue of limitations on AAFES debt?

Statute runs by State - what State?

Its been ten years. Why now is this coming up & paid out of my tax refund

Please explain more of what is going on with this. If already paid (was it a government tax issue?). We can probably explain to you a lot better if you give specifics. rprox.

What is aafes? We can't know if it was legal without more details. Also was a judgement ever issued on the debt?

I believe it's a credit consolidation agency - when a person contracts with them (from what I've heard/read) the person signs a contract WITH that agency to pay fees and if the person defaults (people using the service are in bad financial shape) it's an automatic lien.
