How do I get my french birth certificate in US?
I was born in Paris. Now I am in US, and my passport expired more than two years ago. I need to renew my passport. But I don't have any document that represent my nationality except the old passport. Plus, I don't speak French at all. I don't know how would I be able to talk and get my thing renewed.

You don't need to speak french to renew your passport. Phone the French Consulate nearest to you.

Well, yes maybe you should. Not a big deal to take a course in french. It isn't a hard language, many of us in Canada are bilingual and enjoy the exchange of languages.

Another alternative you could have done was to register your foreign birth at the American Consulate and they would have kept a record of the report of birth that might be acceptable to others in lieu of the original.
