    Skin hanging under tongue.
I am just getting over a cold and during the cold I noticed an ulcer or cold sore ontop of my tongue for a few days. Now when I look under my tongue I have what looks like a piece of shin hanging down it is sore and hangs down about 1/8 of an inch. I have taken a picture for you to see. http://www.allstatesservices.com/tongue.jpg

    Thanks!

It could be a sublingual salivary gland that is swollen due to blockage. Or it could be something entirely different. Your best bet is to go to your doctor as soon as possible for an accurate diagnosis and treatment recommendation.

    BTW
The white tissue splotches on the underside of your tongue look abnormal as well.

Try rinsing with warm salt water. If the sore isn't gone in 2 weeks see your dentist. Any sore in your mouth that doesn't go away in 2 weeks time should be checked.
