HI there I was just wondering if I could be pregnant.. I am on the pill and have been for 3 months now... I am on my 3 month now... But on the 8th day of taking the pill my boyfriend and I had unprotected sex... I should be getting my period today and I feel crampy but nothing has shown yet. I am a mother already of twin girls so I am abit scared that I might be worrying for nothing... I do not have any sickness or tender breast... Please help

You are due today and you are cramping? That is normal period reaction.

I assume you already know that the pill is not 100% effective. I know, I have 2 boys and I was on the pill. I took it religiously every day at the same time and still ended up pregnant.

However, what you are describing to me sounds as if you are just about to get your period.

Yes I am cramping right now but I go to the bathroom and there is nothing there... I have had a lot of stomach pain though too if I do not get my period in the next couple of days I will do a test... When do you ovulate when you are on the pill ?

If I remember correctly, it takes about a month or so for the pill to be fully in your system. If it's not a whole month, it's at least a couple of weeks. If you doctor didn't tell you that, I'm a little surprised. The pill is not 100% effective even if you had been on it for a while. There are plenty of sites to get facts online about pills. I would suggest just talking to your doctor so you get the correct facts.
