    Filed wrong tax form F1-H1 connundrum
    Hi,
    1> I ( rather a tax consultant) filed 1040 for me last year when I was on F1 OPT instead of the 1040 NR-EZ.
    2> I just realised this mistake and now want to correct the error. I think I need to file 1040X but just want to be sure.
    3> I transitioned to H1 visa in October '09 and have to file that change this year.
    3> Is there a tax consultant on here who can help me?

    You need to file Form 1040X with properly-prepared Forms 1040NR-EZ and 8843 attached.
