Hi my name is monique I am 11 going on 12 and I really need some help on what classes to take in high school if I want to be a zoologist and what enter score do I need to get into a good college??

If you want to be a zoologist then your looking at science and math classes ahead. As far as a GPA or score from testing that will depend on the college you choose to go to. The more prestige the higher the grades and SAT's will need to be. Your studies will take you along many of the same lines as a Vet. The split will come at the point of doctoring. As far as math goes you will be looking at statistics a lot so you can know or predict the animals your working with. And Chemistry for the nutrition a animal needs. There are also different branches and specialities involved like herbotology ( snakes and reptiles ) and some ecology for envoroment control of animals you may be keeping ( as in a zoo). There is a lot out there.

High school (if it's like when I went to one) is fairly cut and dried regarding classes to take. You will want to take college-prep classes (especially science and math) and do well in them. But colleges are interested in more than what classes you took and grades you got. Colleges will look at which community activities you got into and why. Colleges will look at your SAT or ACT scores as an indicator of how well you might do there. Colleges will interview you to find out who you are as a person and how you express yourself.

And you are worried about it now?.

I'm in college now and I choose agriculture marine and maths it got me heaps far. I have now got volenteer work at the zoo so choosing the subjects I choose I think that got me very far.
