Do you live in the same home as your mom? How old are you? Answers to those will get you a better answer. A lot is situational.

Its hard to say but maybe she has been under a lot of stress and she is somehow taking it out on you. Do you raise your voice to her? Sometimes a whisper is louder then a shout when trying to make your point. Are you both arguing lately more because of changes you might want to happen ?

Mabey sometimes when your rude to your mother it hurts her fealing. I know when I'm rude to my mum it hurts her fealing so watch what you say and I think I know why you could'nt go out because you where rude and now your getting punished

I have an 11 year old. He's allowed to play in the neighborhood, go with a friend to the nearby park, walk the dogs (with a friend or with us) and other things that I find are appropriate at his age. He is not allowed to go out for a walk alone.

Parents are weird, they want to keep their kids safe, they want to make sure that their kids learn right from wrong, learn to be productive human beings. Sometimes, when dealing with a 10 year old that thinks he/she knows everything, you have to put your foot down.

At 10 you really don't know enough to make decisions on your own. You're a child and it's your parents job to make sure you're safe and that you learn what you need to to survive when you're older.

I have a question, because I know I wouldn't allow this. Do your parents know that you are on the internet? Do they know that you are signing up to websites on the internet? I'm glad you stumbled upon AMHD because I know the people on this site would never allow anyone to steer you in the wrong direction, but I can't say the same for other sites.

It worries me that you're here asking this question and it seems that mom and dad don't know.

You'll understand one day, when you have a child of your own.

Until then, I wouldn't recommend taking the advice of an 11 year old, even if he/she is almost 12. That person is in the same boat as you, and doesn't have enough life experience to give you valuable advice.

Listen to mom and dad, they love you and only want what's best for you, even if it seems that they often don't allow you to do what you want.

    Good luck.

Why not try telling her that it hurts when she brings up things you did in the past? Maybe she's not aware that she's doing it.

One thing to remember is that parents are humans too, we also make mistakes, we don't know everything. Just tell her but tell her in a calm reasonable manner. If you yell it out then she's less likely to listen, just like you're less likely to listen if she yells. Right? :)
