I'm not completely sure where this post should go, but I'm curious about the name Cimerron (also spelled Cimerran for females). I know that there is a place named this but is there any other meaning to the name?

I really like this name and may use it in the future, but only if I can find out if there are other meanings to this. I wouldn't want to name a baby something without knowing the meanings

I'm not so sure I would name my baby a word that mean "sheep."

When I was your age, I so wanted to name my first daughter Winona. That was the name of an Indian maiden in one of my favorite novels. Thankfully, God sent me sons. (I would hate myself now had I named a daughter "Winona" -- sorry, Winona Ryder.)

At my school, names is something people leave be. No one really makes fun of them. Except people used to call me Nole because one day a substitute mispronounced my name
